Staff

At Seagry Pre-school we have experienced and enthusiastic staff who work continuously towards providing the children with a positive pre-school experience. Two of our staff are NVQ 3 qualified and one is NVQ 2 qualified and is currently studying NVQ 3 which is due for completion in 2007.

The staff provide a planned curriculum and structured environment, designed to develop the children's physical, intellectual and social skills. Should you have any concerns about your child or would like to know more about their activities at the pre-school, please feel free to speak to a member of staff at any time. Each child is allocated a member of staff to be their 'keyworker' who forms a special relationship with the child and reports to parents/carers on the child's progress.

We are currently registered for a maximum of 16 children and the ratio of staff to children is 1:8 (maximum) for 3-5 year olds and 1:4 (maximum) for 2 ½ -3 year olds.

We have recently employed a fourth member of staff, Jo has taken on the role of preschool assistant.

As a pre-school we aim to support our staff developments and this has recently included a course of The Alexander Technique which they are looking forward to using (see Other Services).
