Times
Seagry Pre-School runs from 9:15 to 12:15 on Monday to Thursday mornings.
We start the morning with registration where the children are given the opportunity to count the number of staff,
children and visitors present. They then discuss the weather and any news they may have, followed by the morning's topic.
The first part of the session usually involves a craft activity related to the current topic and several other toys/activities are also available.
In the middle of the morning, the children have story time, and sit down for a drink and a snack.
The second part of the session provides a new set of activities, which continue until around 12.00 and
the session ends at 12.15 after a musical or physical activity.
From September 2006 there will be an optional Lunch club running to 1:10pm.
Costs
We charge £10.00 per session and fees are payable at the beginning of every half term.
We accept voucher funding for those children who are of the appropriate age.
Funding is provided by the Government for 38 weeks a year,(for 3 year olds, first
claimable on the term after their 3rd birthday) and covering 2 and a half hour sessions. As our sessions are 3 hours we make a small charge to the grant receivers of £1.81 (current fees less the grant received) per session and we also charge for sessions exceeding the 38 week grant period.
Help with fees may be available to children whose parents are receiving State Benefits.
Following the recent success at the pre-school we are for the first time operating a waiting list and as a result we have had to introduce a non-refundable deposit of £15.
The introduction of the fee is to avoid places being booked a long time in advance and then not taken up. When the child starts the deposit is to be used to offset the fees, if the child does not start then the deposit is not refunded unless there are reasonable circumstances.
Help with fees may be available to children whose parents are receiving State Benefits.
Pre-school is also closed for Bank Holidays.
